For many it is a cheesy camp song. Yet there is something incredibly inspiring when you hear a large space filled with young folks belting out with passionate conviction, “They will know we are Christians by our love, by our love!”

One of the things that I have come to notice with a significant number of youth and young adults is their desire to live out their faith. Believe it or not, worship is important to them. However, it is not the “stopping place” but rather the “filling place” that empowers them to go forth into the world.

Young people, of course, are not the only ones who want to live out their faith daily by using their gifts to meet the needs of their neighbors near and far. Folks across ECMN are gathering to discern their gifts and passions, finding partners, and then building intentional relationships with their neighbors to see what God is up to.

The season of Epiphany always focuses us on how Christ is being made known. It is absolutely the best time for us to be the outward manifestation of Christ’s love for the world. Because it is more than a camp song…it is how we follow in the Way of Jesus.

Happy Epiphany!
